In our modern digital age, where computers and mobile devices dominate our activities, online table games at Everygame Casino and all reputable online games casinos have emerged as a popular form of entertainment for individuals looking for the pleasure of casino gaming without the need to travel to a land-based casino.
Table games are certainly not the only attraction online casinos have. Everygame Casino offers slots, video poker, and casual games as well as table games. Gamers can play all of our more than 300 games from the comfort of their homes, while waiting in a line somewhere, or even when they are out in the countryside on a “real vacation”.
The three most prominent casino table games are: Blackjack, Craps, and Roulette. We will talk about each one in turn. Still, keep in mind that we offer many other table games that might get less attention but are wildly fun to play and worth your attention as much as blackjack, craps, and roulette! Each game is unique in its own way, with fascinating strategies and game play.
Blackjack: A Classic Card Game
Blackjack is one of the most iconic casino card games. The objective of the game is well-known: achieve a hand with as close to 21 points without going over 21 points. If the player goes over 21, he or she loses immediately.
At land-based casinos, where there may be many players at the blackjack table, it is not unusual for one player to go over 21 points, called busting, and then later on in the same hand, the dealer busts with a higher point count! The first player still loses because when a player goes over 21 points they lose immediately!
Although the basic principles of blackjack have remained constant, many variations of blackjack have been developed and there are subtle or not-so-subtle differences between the variations.
How Much is that Blackjack on the Table?
We aren’t selling blackjacks; we pay off extra money for every blackjack. Here at Everygame Casino, we still pay 3-2 for a blackjack. We expect that payout rate to continue ad infinitum.
This contrasts diametrically with what is happening at many land-based casinos where the casinos pay out only 6-5 for a blackjack. Now, the return to player rate in a 3-2 game and assuming that the gamer uses the best strategy on every hand, is about 99.5%. in a 6-5 game, the return to player rate is several percentage points less.
Thus, online blackjack offers gamers a much better chance to fiish a session in winning mode!
Basic Blackjack Rules
In classic blackjack, players can hit with any point count. Obviously, players do not hit with high point counts and many players don’t hit with 12 or more points. As we will see, this is very poor strategy.
In blackjack, players compete against the dealer, and he or she has to follow follows specific rules for drawing cards. The dealer has to hit with 16 points or less. In most games, the dealer has to stand with 17 points or more.
This simple rule determines to a large degree what the player will do on every hand!
Good blackjack strategy means that the player pays as much attention to what the dealer has as to what the player has!
European Blackjack
This variation is very much like classic blackjack but the player is limited in when he or she can split pairs and double down. Splitting pairs and doubling down are major strategic plays that help bring the return-to-player rate to that lofty 99.5%!
In European Blackjack, the dealer stands on soft 17. If the dealer and the player both have hands with 21 points but not a blackjack, the dealer wins! If the player has blackjack and the dealer gets 21 points, the hand is a push.
Spanish 21
This variation of blackjack offers an exciting twist: all of the tens are removed from the deck! The picture cards stay in but having the tens removed makes getting a blackjack harder.
To balance the winning chances in Spanish Blackjack, the player wins automatically with any point count of 21.
Spanish 21 also provides additional bonus payouts for specific combinations of cards.
21 Face Up
In this amazing blackjack variation, the player sees both of the dealer’s cards! We won’t go into detail but since the player cannot surrender, there are hands where the player will draw with 19 or more points since he or he already knows what the dealer has!
Everygame Casino offers a few more blackjack variations. We suggest playing them all in our free play mode to get the feel for each variation before playing for real money!
Craps and Roulette
Craps is a dice game. Roulette is THE classic casino game as it employs the famous roulette wheel! On a land-based casino players whoop and holler at the craps and roulette tables. We cannot replicate the whooping and hollering. So, we rely on fantastic animation and graphics to give these games a live casino feel.
Both craps and roulette have many betting options. We suggest playing in free paly mode if you are not familiar with all of the betting options in these games. One important piece of advice is that, with so many betting options, there are bets that contradict other bets.
We hope you avoid these contradictory bets!
The Pass Line Bet
This is the most common bet in craps. The Pass Line bet says that the bettor is betting that the shooter will roll a 7 or will set a point and will roll the point again before he or she rolls a 7. If the shooter rolls a 7 on the first roll, which is called the come-out roll, the Pass Line bet wins. On the other hand, rolling a 2, 3, or 12 results in a loss. Any other number rolled becomes the "point," and the shooter must roll that number again before a 7 to win the bet.
Don't Pass Line Bet
this bet is the opposite of the Pass Line bet. Players who place this bet are betting against the shooter, hoping for a 2 or 3 on the come-out roll and subsequent 7 before the point is rolled again. At a land-based casino, this bet is often met with disfavor as it is a bet against the shooter. At Everygame Online Casino, there is no such problem and the Don’t Pass Line Bet actually has statistical advantages for the gamer!
Proposition Bets
Craps is famous for its many prop bets. Here is where knowing the bets perfectly can save gamers money! Proposition bets are bets on specific outcomes. Players can bet on a specific number, a combination of numbers, or whether the next roll will be an odds or evens.
Proposition bets pay out well but they win not very often. Most advice about craps tells gamers to eschew the proposition bets.
Roulette
Roulette may be THE classic casino game. The wheel has a mesmerizing nature to it and the game has captivated players for centuries. There is very little strategy in roulette. Luck rules!
American Roulette or European Roulette
We offer both versions of roulette. In American Roulette, the wheel contains a 0 and 00 while in European Roulette, there is only a single 0. As a result, the house edge in European Roulette is half the house edge in American Roulette.
Everygame Casino Offers Many More Table Games
We will save the other tables on offer here at Everygame Casino for a subsequent article. Baccarat, Caribbean Poker, and the others offer great fun and entertainment! In the meantime,
